Description
Start Date: Feb 17, 2026
End Date: December 31, 2026 (with the possibility of a 6 month extension)
Hrs/wk: (37.5 - Hybrid position with approx. 2 days/wk in office determined at the manager’s discretion)
Must Haves:
• Extensive experience leading or supporting stakeholder consultations for integration or interoperability projects within healthcare or technology sectors.
• Strong familiarity with the Ontario digital health landscape, including provincial assets such as HRM, OLIS, DHDR, OLIS-MORE and related provincial EHR products/services.
• Knowledge or experience with HALO framework and/or Ontario’s provincial EHR
• Proven experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting integration requirements, including data flows, APIs, message structures, and workflow impacts.
• Experience working with Primary Care EMR products and vendors, particularly in areas involving data exchange or interoperability capabilities.
• Knowledge of OMD’s EMR Certification Program and an understanding of how integration components align with existing requirements.
• Knowledge or experience with data standards such as OMD’s CDS-S, CIHI Pan-Canadian Health Data Standard, etc.
• Familiarity with messaging standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR, RESTful APIs, etc.).
Responsibilities:
• Elicit, analyze, and document clear, comprehensive, and actionable business, functional, and integration requirements to support OMD’s provincial EHR integration initiatives.
• As part of requirements gathering and documentation, review and interpret integration specifications and implementation guides for existing and upcoming provincial assets (e.g., HRM, OLIS, DHDR, HALO, OLIS-MORE, etc.) and to develop the necessary point of service requirements needed to support clinical workflow.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support integration activities to develop the point of service requirements in alignment with OMD’s EMR requirements and specifications standards.
• Document current and future state workflows, data flows, and process impacts.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities related to the development of requirements for integration initiatives, facilitating discussions with vendors, EMR partners, and provincial collaborators/stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality requirements documentation, including use cases, user stories, data mapping artifacts, workflow diagrams, and process models.
• Analyze requirements for completeness, clarity, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives.
• Perform additional tasks related to requirements analysis, documentation, integration design input, and workflow clarification as assigned.
