Senior Business Analyst–Product Owner to support the Business Applications group in the Telecommunications industry

Our valued client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst-Product Owner to support the Business Applications group in the Telecommunications industry.

The Business Analyst-Product Owner for IT Business Applications leads product strategy, enhancement, and lifecycle management of core business systems such as CRM, CPQ, BSS, ERP, HRIS, finance, and workflow platforms.

An initial 12 month contract. Full time - 4 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders, including managers, users, and IT teams.
• Identify and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement information systems solutions.
• Lead feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate potential solutions and recommend the most effective course of action.
• Define and document system specifications, including user interface requirements, data models, and functional specifications.
• Assist or lead in the development and execution of test plans, ensuring the quality and accuracy of implemented solutions.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Must Have Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or hybrid role.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
• Proven ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar
• Hold a valid Government of Canada Reliability clearance

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with business and data analysis or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Domain knowledge in IT/business applications such as CRM, CPQ, BSS, ERP, HRIS, finance, and workflow platforms
• Experience in Telecommunications industry is considered an asset
• Certifications in one or more of the following:
• PSPO - Professional Scrum Product Owner, CSPO - Certified Scrum Product Owner
• POPM - SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
• PMIACP - Agile Certified Practitioner
• ICPAPO - ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Product Ownership ITIL Certification
