Our GTA based, Municipal Government client requires the services of a Senior BI Developer to design and develop BI solutions and/or enhance and support existing solutions.

ROLE:

• Work with the Business Intelligence & Analytics team in designing, developing, maintaining the BI and Enterprise Data platforms and associated solutions.
• Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and documenting Microsoft Power BI semantic layer, dashboards, and reports.
• Responsible for modelling data, designing, and creating datasets using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric Tools.
• Convert business requirements to technical specifications.

MUST HAVE:

• A university degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent, combined with directly related experience in a business or computer related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Business Intelligence developer.
• Microsoft’s Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
• MicroStrategy professional certification is an asset.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing BI solutions; semantic layers, schemas, dashboards, and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience working as a BI developer on large Enterprise projects using Microsoft Azure, Synapse, and database related services coupled to Microsoft Power BI
• Experience configuring and administering Microsoft Power BI environments and implementing deployment pipelines.
• Hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions; data cubes, schemas, dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy 2020 or later is an asset.
• Experience working with SQL Server 2019 or later.
• Good understanding of data modelling techniques relates to interfacing BI platforms to data warehouse solutions.
• Experience working with fabric items and pipelines with respect to data ingestion, transformation, and scheduling across Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
• Experience with fabric notebooks writing scalable Python/Spark code for ETL, data validation, feature engineering, and ML workflows.
