This role focuses on designing and maintaining automation for complex enterprise systems validated through CI/CD pipelines. You’ll contribute directly to the quality and scalability of distributed financial applications while applying AI‑assisted testing approaches. Must Haves

• 5-7 years in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Engineering
• 5+ years of API automation using Java, RestAssured, TestNG or Cucumber
• Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems testing
• 5+ years integrating automated testing in CI/CD pipelines and modern SDLC environments
• 1+ years applying AI‑assisted testing and quality analytics
• 3+ years with Locust performance testing tool
• Post‑secondary education in a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
• Awareness of Playwright (Web) and Appium with Python (Mobile) automation
• Previous experience within major Canadian banks or financial institutions

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks using Java or Python
• Develop API tests for RESTful and SOAP services including JSON and XML data formats
• Validate functionality, scalability, and reliability of enterprise banking systems
• Integrate automation testing into CI/CD processes for continuous validation
• Debug and resolve defects, ensuring system performance and security
• Maintain source code repositories and uphold coding standards through code reviews
• Prepare and update technical documentation for automation frameworks and testing processes
