Our financial services client is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist (5+ years) to support compensation governance across U.S. regulatory frameworks

Join a collaborative team within the People, Culture and Talent group focused on fostering a high-performance organizational culture. This role leads research, analysis, and implementation of compensation-related regulatory requirements with emphasis on U.S. legislation such as SEC provisions. The position offers exposure to oversight functions and leadership teams while driving enterprise-level compliance and governance initiatives.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, 1-2 days a week in office - Tuesday and Friday.

• 5+ years in compensation within regulatory or compliance environments
• 5+ years in HR and Compensation Governance
• 1+ years in the banking industry

• U.S. regulatory background

Responsibilities

• Identify regulatory requirements affecting compensation plans, including those for senior executives and material risk takers
• Monitor legislation from prudential regulators across jurisdictions where employees are located
• Maintain and update the list of enterprise oversight functions monitoring relevant compensation-related regulations
• Establish and manage relationships with oversight functions to ensure timely assessment of regulatory developments
• Assess new regulations such as SEC clawback provisions for compliance and update relevant HR and Total Rewards leaders
• Support the People Culture and Talent Regulatory Affairs team in preparing compliance responses related to SEC clawback governance topics
