Our valued Public Sector Client needs a Project Manager to support the modernization of a large operational facility's aging IT infrastructure by leading planning, execution, and oversight of a broad range of IM/IT initiatives. The role provides critical project leadership for ongoing technology upgrades, delivery of IT support services, and modernization projects required to maintain operational readiness. Work will be performed on an as-and-when-requested basis in support of high-tempo operational environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IM/IT projects through the full life cycle, including planning, implementation, operational start-up, and close-out, while maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation, and define team roles, responsibilities, and coordination requirements.
  • Oversee infrastructure modernization initiatives such as cellular coverage enhancements, Wi-Fi augmentation, and other network improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT environments that align with organizational standards for security, interoperability, and sustainability.
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments, provide security recommendations, support incident response and certification activities, and validate security controls.
  • Deliver risk management and IT security training, develop policies, procedures, and awareness materials, and support compliance and governance activities.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing IM/IT projects through all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute infrastructure-related projects in complex operational environments.
  • Experience conducting threat and risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and preparing formal reporting.
  • Skilled in developing policies, procedures, guidelines, and security documentation.
  • Experience designing and delivering training, awareness sessions, and risk management briefings.
  • Strong ability to assess resource requirements, define roles and responsibilities, and support multidisciplinary project teams.
