The Cloud Business Office is seeking Cloud DevOps Administrator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for enabling secure and compliant cloud operations across our global enterprise and is ideal for a security-minded technologist who thrives at the intersection of cloud engineering, governance, and collaboration.

In this role, you will work directly with application owners and technical teams to interpret compliance requirements, assess cloud configurations, and develop actionable remediation plans that align with each application's architecture and business context.

This is a growth-oriented role: you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, contribute to strategic cloud initiatives, and expand into areas such as cloud security, application architecture, and platform engineering. We’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and ready to take the next step in their cloud career.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Educate and Enable Application Teams

    • Act as a governance coach and security advocate, helping application owners understand cloud security requirements and good practices given the context and constraints

    • Deliver targeted instruction and guidance based on NIST, CIS, and internal policy frameworks to improve cloud security posture across teams.

    • Translate complex security concepts into actionable insights tailored to the technical maturity and business context of each team.

  • Conduct Technical Audits and Assessments

    • Perform structured reviews of cloud infrastructure and application deployments to identify gaps in compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.

    • Use automated tools and manual techniques to audit configurations, access controls, and deployment pipelines across Azure and GCP environments.

    • Document findings with clear risk impact statements and collaborate with teams to prioritize remediation.

  • Analyze and Contextualize Security Risks

    • Evaluate security findings in the context of application architecture, data sensitivity, and operational requirements.

    • Develop and propose pragmatic, risk-informed remediation strategies that balance security, performance, and business agility.

    • Track and report on remediation progress, escalating risks where necessary to ensure accountability and visibility.

  • Support Secure Systems Administration

    • Assist teams in implementing secure-by-default configurations for cloud resources, identity management (via Entra ID), and CI/CD pipelines.

    • Provide hands-on support to remediate misconfigurations, enforce least privilege access, and implement automated guardrails.

    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of secure infrastructure templates and policy-as-code artifacts.

    • Provide off-hours on-call support for critical production systems

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Education & Experience

    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud administration, DevSecOps, or cloud security engineering roles, preferably in enterprise or regulated environments.

    • Cloud certification (Azure/GCP) preferred

  • Cloud Platform Expertise

    • Deep experience with cloud application deployment patterns and security considerations

    • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CIS, CSA CAIQ

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra for identity and access management.

  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code

    • Proficiency with Terraform and a strong automation mindset.

    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

    • Scripting / Coding experience (ruby, python, powershell, etc)

  • Operational Readiness

    • Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation for off-hours incident response.

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud environments.

    • Skill in executing incident response or disaster recovery plans and processes

  • Soft Skills & Teamwork

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.

    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

    • Bilingualism (French and English)
