Description
Position Title: IT Project Manager - Senior
Line of Business: TI&I
What project will this contractor be working on? Will be taking on Project IAMUplift. Identity and access manager for privileged access.
Duration: 12 Months
Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid // Monday and Tuesdays with Friday being potential being a 3rd day. 2-3 days in office but subject to change.
Office Location: 81 Bay 32nd Floor
Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday
The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
• Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
• Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
• Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget
Must Have Requirement:
• PMP Certification
• Proven experience managing waterfall/Agile projects
• Proficiency with SharePoint/Jira and Confluence
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning)
• Strong Project Management Governance
• Strong risk management capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
Visio
Excel
SharePoint
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM
• Demonstrated ability to track and manage project financials (forecasting, variance analysis)
• Direct involvement in IT projects focused on infrastructure and regulatory compliance
• Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies
Nice to Have:
• Post-secondary education in Technology or related field
• Prior experience using Planview or Clarity as a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool
