Title: Supplier Quality Specialist IV

Location: Edmonton, AB

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension)

Work Model: Hybrid - Mon, Tues, Thurs in office.


High Level Description:

The Supplier Quality Specialist will conduct quality assessments on supplier quality management systems to ensure compliance with company quality standards.


Specific Accountabilities

• Supports The Client's Supplier quality evaluation direction for selected Suppliers to ensure the appropriate quality management systems, including adequate infrastructure, training and procedures are established and implemented.

• Engage with Suppliers with requirements needed to conduct and complete quality management assessments in a timely fashion.

• Compile assessment documentation for supplier quality assessments.

• Where necessary provide assessment gap reports to internal stakeholders.

• Meet tight deadlines to approve selected suppliers.

• Communicate with internal stakeholders as needed.

• Development of audit plan with objectives.

• Co-ordinate between technical audit team and auditees.

• Planning and management of opening and closing meetings.

• Co-ordinate final review session with technical audit team.

• Compilation of technical audit team reports into final audit summary report.


Contacts (Working Relationships):

Works and interfaces with SCM personnel across the client, business units technical SMEs across the client, external suppliers.


Must Haves:

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/ Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.

• Quality Management System experience in oil and gas.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Oracle.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Understanding of ASME/CSA/API/ISO codes, standards, and construction specifications.

• Effective communication, problem resolution, assessment and decision-making skills.


Preferred:

• Pipeline and facility construction experience.

• Some trade-related experience in welding, pipefitting, pressure vessels, structural steel, pipe spool fabrication and associated site installation activities.

• ASET- Certified Engineering Technologist, Certified Journeyman.


Working Conditions:

• This role is office based with the possibility of domestic or international travel up to or exceeding 25% - 50% of the time.
