Our client in the transportation industry is seeking an Intermediate Zscaler Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-delivered security solutions using the Zscaler platform

The role encompasses end-to-end architecture, deployment, and performance optimization of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Private Access (ZPA), and Digital Experience (ZDX). Collaborate with infrastructure, identity, and networking teams to enhance secure access and streamline connectivity. This contract engagement offers visibility across critical modernization programs supporting secure digital transformation.

This role requires you to be onsite 100% M-F, working core business hours of 8-5pm

Must Haves

• 3+ years of hands-on Zscaler implementation and administration including ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX
• Deep knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, SASE/SSE frameworks, and Secure Web Gateway technologies
• Proficiency in SSL/TLS inspection, certificate management, and proxy traffic steering
• Experience integrating identity providers, SIEM platforms, and endpoint security tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

• Zscaler Certified Professional (ZCP) or Zscaler Certified Architect (ZCA)
• CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, GIAC, or Microsoft Azure Security certifications
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or APIs

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Zscaler solutions across ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, and CASB components
• Design and implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) strategies aligned to enterprise architecture
• Lead migration from legacy VPN models to cloud-based SASE/SSE solutions
• Configure and optimize web and data protection policies including SSL inspection, URL filtering, and DLP
• Integrate Zscaler with identity providers, SIEM, endpoint protection, and SD-WAN infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex network and security traffic flows involving tunneling, proxy chaining, and authentication
• Develop operational standards, documentation, and architecture diagrams supporting security operations
• Collaborate with SOC and incident response teams on investigations related to cloud or remote access traffic
