Intermediate Reconciliation Data Analyst to support variances, stakeholder engagement, and analysis for a Hydrocarbon Inventory team

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking an Intermediate Reconciliation Data Analyst to support variances, stakeholder engagement, and analysis for a Hydrocarbon Inventory team.

This is an initial 6-month contract engagement with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be working full-time onsite in Downtown Calgary and required to provide their own laptop/ device if successful.

Must-Haves:

• Experience as a Reconciliation Data Analyst, Inventory Analyst, or similar in enterprise Oil and Gas organization
• Experience supporting Hydrocarbon Inventory team
• Strong understanding of hydrocarbon logistics and distribution
• Experience with reconciliation, inventory, or accounting
• Proficient use of SAP MM
• Proficient use of MS Power platform (PowerBI, PowerAutomate)

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily inventory reconciliation of many distribution terminals across Canada, inclusive of operated and and third-party locations including ensuring receipts and sales are posted in SAP
• Analyze abnormal stock variations as they occur, troubleshoot & work with respective terminal staff to determine cause & correct transaction(s) if necessary.
• Complete month-end reconciliation packages for operated terminals demonstrating completeness of inventory movements for sales and receipt in support of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control compliance requirements.
• Work with cross functional counterparts in Supply Accounting, Trucking, Supply Ops and Terminal Ops, to support orbit shifting and urgent supply requirements.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including finance, scheduling and IT teams, to support requirements gathering to deliver process and technology improvements.
