Description
S.i. Systems client is looking for an Intermediate DevOps Engineer to help achieve long term scalability and robustness combined with rapid deploy cycles
Permanent position, 1 day/ week onsite in Downtown Vancouver. 1 week every 3 weeks on call.
Must Haves:
- At least 3+ years of hands-on relevant experience in DevOps
- Strong Linux skills
- Experience with cloud-based services
- Experience in managing infrastructure in AWS
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience with containers
- Exposure to Kubernetes
Nice to haves:
- Experience with EKS
- Java application experience
- Python experience
- Diploma in Computer Science, or a related discipline
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain platform infrastructure.
- Assist with maintaining security implementations of production servers.
- Improve and maintain internal IT infrastructure and tools.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution, innovation, and prioritization of DevOps capabilities, roadmaps, and applications.
- Code reviews for other team members.
- Assist other team members in designing and implementing DevOps projects.
- Member of the on-call rotation.
