S.i. Systems client is looking for an Intermediate DevOps Engineer to help achieve long term scalability and robustness combined with rapid deploy cycles

Permanent position, 1 day/ week onsite in Downtown Vancouver. 1 week every 3 weeks on call.

Must Haves:

• At least 3+ years of hands-on relevant experience in DevOps
• Strong Linux skills
• Experience with cloud-based services
• Experience in managing infrastructure in AWS
• Exposure to automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with containers
• Exposure to Kubernetes

Nice to haves:

• Experience with EKS
• Java application experience
• Python experience
• Diploma in Computer Science, or a related discipline

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain platform infrastructure.
• Assist with maintaining security implementations of production servers.
• Improve and maintain internal IT infrastructure and tools.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution, innovation, and prioritization of DevOps capabilities, roadmaps, and applications.
• Code reviews for other team members.
• Assist other team members in designing and implementing DevOps projects.
• Member of the on-call rotation.
