Job Title: Finance - Financial Analyst - Senior

Duration: 6 Months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid model, Every Monday, in addition to one Friday per month. Potential for the resource needing to be onsite 2-3 times in a week.

Office Location: 81 Bay 33rd Floor

What project will this contractor be working on or is this standard day to day work? - Projects financial support and ad hoc reporting and analysis, along with some standard monthly tasks to perform.


Job Description:

The Consultant Business Effectiveness will be joining the Distribution and Cards Technology (D&CT) and Digital Technology (DT) and Client Servicing Technology (CST) Business Management Office (BMO). This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including financial management activities including forecasting, preparation and tracking of budgets, management reporting, project reporting, business case reviews, month end, and other ad-hoc assignments. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability to changing priorities, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in financial analysis and modeling. Your contributions will be vital in establishing and enhancing procedures and reports that support the D&CT, DT and CST BMO.


The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.


Job Responsibilities:

• Direct the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses, that summarize and forecast the organization’s financial position.• Prepare special reports required by regulatory authorities.• Direct the organization’s budgets to meet its financial goals.• Oversee the investment of funds, manage associated risks, supervise cash management activities.• Execute capital-raising strategies to support a firm’s expansion.• Oversee the firm’s issuance of credit, establishing credit-rating criteria, determining credit ceilings, and monitoring the collections of past-due accounts.


Must Have Requirement:


- 5+ years of experience in a related role, ideally with exposure to:

o SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

o STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)

o QA lifecycle management

- Strong financial management.

o Budgeting (base and project)

o Forecasting, variance analysis and month-end close

o Business case review and fiscal planning

- Tableau dashboard creation and maintenance

- Jira & Confluence

- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and communication materials


Nice to Have:

- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related field

- Experience with Alteryx and Power BI

- Familiarity with contract management and vendor engagement processes

- PMO or IT tool certifications

- Prior experience in a financial institutio


Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

• 5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
