Deskside Support Technician to support PC & mobile device configuration / deployments on-site for a non-profit client

Our valued non-profit client is seeking a Deskside Support Technician to support PC & mobile device configuration / deployments!


Initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension. 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday in Ottawa, ON with regular travel required between two different sites (~10 min drive). The ideal candidate will have their own vehicle to be able to effectively work between both offices.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform Intune imaging, configuration, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Conduct hard drive wipes and prepare systems for redeployment or disposal
  • Manage cellphone swaps and assist with smartphone setup and troubleshooting
  • Handle local deskside support tickets and provide end-user assistance as needed
  • Support inventory management and tracking of IT assets
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and organization of IT equipment
  • Coordinate with IT team members to ensure smooth hardware refresh and deployment activities


Must-have- Skills

  • Experience as a Deskside Support Technician, Technical Support Analyst, or comparable role
  • Familiarity with mobile device setup (iOS and/or Android)
  • Knowledge of hardware configuration and device imaging/deployment via Intune
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory


Nice-to-have Skills

  • Prior experience with ticketing systems (e.g., HEAT, ServiceNow, Jira)
  • A+ Certification or equivalent technical certification
  • Experience supporting Office 365 and OneDrive environments
