Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a Corporate Surveillance project.
Responsibilities:
- 3-5+ years of professional development experience in a similar role.
- Build and enhance backend services and APIs using Python/Pyspark
- Design and manage relational databases using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Implement Kafka-based messaging solutions to support high-performance, distributed applications and ensure reliable data streaming
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
Required Skills:
- Python, Pyspark, Spark experience preferred
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Banking or Financial Services experience preferred
- Experience with Scala is a plus
