Our client is seeking a Contract Performance Professional - 01054


This is a 12-months contract to start. 2 days/week onsite in Surrey. 37.5 hours/week.


The ideal candidate will have experience in Civil construction, contract performance, stakeholder management, and supporting change management initiatives for new contracts.


Must haves:

Minimum 8 years proven track record of both executing value-add contracts and delivering strategic benefits to achieve specific business outcomes.

• Experience analyzing and interpreting data, identifying trends to clearly communicate findings to various levels of audiences including Senior Leaders.

• Proven abilities (as they relate to contract management) in influencing internal and external parties, managing risk, and optimizing costs through innovation.

• Experience leading cross-functional project teams in a complex business environment, with multiple stakeholders and strategic considerations.

• Experience planning and leading change initiatives using structured project management or equivalent.

Class 5 driver's license and access to own vehicle


Nice to haves:

• 10+ years proven track record of both executing value-add contracts and delivering strategic benefits to achieve specific business outcomes.

• Partial or full completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP-PMAC) Designation and /or World Commerce & Contracting (WCC) Certification to Associate level is an asset.

• Experience operating within crown corporations or government environments and familiarization with the Utility industry sector would be beneficial.

• Demonstrated experience in successful change management initiatives.

• Strong technical background or competency in engineering and design, and/or construction management, is an asset.


Overview:

The mission of the Contract Performance Professional is to ensure their contracts are meeting performance objectives in support of goals and priorities. To do this the Contract Performance Professional operates like an overall 'owner/ manager' of the contract and is an expert both in understanding the various contract terms and conditions and the value of strategic relationship management. Contract Performance Professional leads cross-functional teams to develop and execute contract management processes and are responsible for planning and actively assessing, communicating, and managing the category contracts. Throughout the contract management lifecycle, they are accountable for leading and or contributing to:

• Contractor relationship management: building and managing relationships across internal business groups, stakeholders and suppliers. Demonstrates the ability to turn difficult conversations into constructive, mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Contract management leadership: strength understanding contract formats, pricing structures, scope definitions, general Terms & Conditions and the ability to clearly articulate the areas to stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.

• Benefits realization: focusing on the approved category strategy direct contract management activities to realize the expected benefits over the course of the multi-year contracts.

• Business process improvements: identify efficiency opportunities, structure approach to realization and implement time or cost savings with the support of impacted stakeholders.

• Ensures assigned contracts and contractors are operating in a way that meets performance objectives and in alignment with approved strategies. This includes ensuring plans are in place to manage risks and anticipate future trends, needs, changes.

• Leads/Manages development and implementation of: business process improvements, benefit realization plans and other processes; supports the business in contract management.

• Is recognized as a contracts expert for assigned categories. Knowledgeable in current and likely/possible future business requirements.

• Contributes to support the sustainment and advancement of Contract Management Practice framework and processes.
