Our valued non-profit client is seeking a Bilingual IT Project Manager to establish and embed project management best practices!


2-year term position role in Ottawa, ON (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site) with strong possibility of extension. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.


As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of IT related projects and coordinating the project-related activities of a diverse implementation team consisting of external consultants, technical staff and end-users. You will be accountable for establishing and embedding project management best practices, leveraging your PMO experience to introduce standardized templates, processes, and frameworks into the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • As a strategic member of the team, leads and/or provides input into the development of plans, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Provides input to IT staffing and budgeting process in order to help establish and maintain budget and staffing resources to effectively accomplish the goals and objectives of the various projects.
  • Responsible for establishing, managing and coordinating the entire system development life cycle process from analysis and planning through to project implementation and delivery of the final product.
  • Establishes and documents project requirements, scope, time and cost parameters for the various projects for approval and implement projects within the approved constraints.
  • Assigns and coordinates IT project resources to ensure efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements.
  • Develops an overall view and documentation of the business systems and processes used in the organization and provide recommendations towards improving organizational, branch and section operating processes.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining close working relationships with organizational units to identify, understand and document the business processes, problems and requirements.
  • Gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Plans, designs, develops, and implements efficient information systems and processes in support of core organizational and business unit functions.


Must Have Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience as Project Manager leading a digital transformation project (application development or ERP implementation), from start to finish, overseeing testing & post-implementation support
  • Demonstrated experience working in a PMO with strong understanding of best practices / templates for project management
