Our public sector client is seeking a Assessment Writer to develop and validate driver licensing knowledge tests - 01108

Create high-quality assessment questions aligned to technical manuals, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and traceability throughout the development process.

Initially a 2-month contract. 40 hours per week.

Must Haves

• 10+ years of experience in Assessment Design, Educational Measurement, or Instructional Design
• Degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or Educational Psychology
• Strong ability to interpret Technical Manuals, Policies, and Operational Procedures
• Advanced knowledge of Knowledge Testing Principles and Adult Learning Concepts
• Experience developing Multiple-Choice and Scenario-Based Questions in a structured format

Nice to Have

• Background in technical or regulatory assessments
• Familiarity with transportation, driver licensing, or operational safety domains
• Prior work with government or public agencies
• Strong documentation discipline in question traceability and quality assurance

Deliverables:

1. Assessment Question Bank (300-600 Questions)

· A complete set of well‑written, validated questions based on the provided manuals.

· Variety of question types as specified by project requirements.

· All questions must include:

Correct answer

Distractors that are plausible but clearly incorrect

Source reference (manual + page/section)

2. Answer Key

· Full answer key in the agreed format (Excel, Word, LMS-ready format, etc.).

· Clearly marked correct responses with cross‑references to source material.

3. Quality Assurance Review

· A self‑reviewed and proofread question bank with:

No duplicate questions (similar questions are ok)

No ambiguous wording

Consistent formatting

· Technical accuracy validated against the manuals

4. Final Submission Package

· Finalized questions and answer key

· Traceability document

· Any supporting rationale or notes
