*Contract to Perm*- Senior Software Asset Management Analyst - Discovery Process and Tech Enablement, Admin and Reporting, Remediation and Operational Support, Lifecycle Dates Management-

Location: Hybrid/Toronto (2 days a week on site) - May Convert to 4 in the Future

Duration: 6 Months (Must Convert to Perm)

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Salary Range: 90-110k

Role #1 - Discovery Process & Tech Enablement
  • Act as the discovery specialist responsible for importing software installations and monitoring import feed health
  • Partner with SMT to design, build, and maintain request and approval workflows
  • Translate requirements from SAM Business Operations and Procurement into automation solutions or required integrations
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify and address coverage gaps
  • Perform discovery model cleanup and validation activities
  • Troubleshoot data issues related to discovery, models, ServiceNow tables, agents, and related components
  • Support software model matching as required
  • Assist with audit data validation when needed
Role #2 - ServiceNow SAM Administration & Reporting
  • Configure, administer, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro tooling
  • Manage normalization rules and ensure normalization meets defined target thresholds
  • Define and maintain data model tables and integrations with other ServiceNow modules
  • Create and maintain software models based on inputs from SAM Business Operations for licensing requirements and/or EA for catalog and prohibited software requirements
  • Map discovery models to the appropriate software models to support downstream processes such as unauthorized software detection and license reconciliation
  • Monitor discovery completeness, duplication, and overall normalization and data health
  • Identify and reconcile discovery gaps and feed issues in collaboration with Tech Remediation and Operational Support teams
Role #3 - Remediation & Operational Support
  • Respond to tickets related to discovery issues, broken workflows, unrecognized installations, missing software, and related concerns
  • Review reports highlighting outliers, anomalies, or incomplete records and work with the SAM Tech Enablement, CMDB, and endpoint teams to resolve data quality issues
  • Identify prohibited software, generate remediation tickets, track resolution through completion, and report status to Program, SAM Business Operations, and key stakeholders
  • Triage and assign remediation tasks to appropriate IT support teams or application owners (e.g., IT support, server owners) for software removal
  • Open ServiceNow incidents or tasks for issues reported by stakeholders, including content library corrections or required updates
  • Track issues through closure and provide status reporting to Program and SAM Business Operations
Role #4 - Software Lifecycle (EoX) Date Management
  • Support a newly introduced SAM focus area for researching, maintaining, updating, and reporting software lifecycle (End-of-Life) data for discovered software in use across the Bank, ensuring processes are in place to collect required data points
  • Provide lifecycle reporting to key stakeholders to support retirement and remediation decisions
  • Monitor and remediate missing lifecycle dates and data discrepancies, ensuring completeness meets target thresholds
