Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:
- extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment
- knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional Standards for BC Educators.
- training and successful experience in teaching intermediate students using Ministry of Education New Curriculum
- demonstrated ability to plan for and teach all required subjects at this grade level
- knowledge and demonstrated ability in teaching a well-balanced literacy program to primary students
- knowledge and demonstrated ability in using sound teaching practices exemplified in SMART learning, Guided Reading, Writing Power, Write Traits, using the Connect, Process, Transform, Reflect process
- knowledge and demonstrated ability in teaching a well-balanced numeracy program to primary students including the use of S.N.A.P.
- demonstrated ability effectively address student lagging skills, and demonstrated effective classroom organizational skills to meet student social and emotional needs
- knowledge of methods for selecting, modifying and adapting instructional materials to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of a diverse group of students
- knowledge of and proven experience in using current assessment practices to allow students to show what they know and to guide instruction
- demonstrated willingness to work as part of a team in the planning within the RTI model
- demonstrated ability using technology to enhance student engagement for a wide range of abilities
- commitment to being part of a collaborative team involving in-service with colleagues
- commitment to supporting EBS and school-wide initiatives
- commitment to implementing all aspects of the Code of Conduct and Behaviour Matrix within the classroom and throughout the school
- proven ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with students, staff and parents
