We are currently looking for an R&D Technician to join our dynamic and expanding team. You will be involved in a variety of projects supporting the research and development team. You’ll work on the design of new products as well as the optimization of different development and production processes.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design of various products under development;

  • Design validation and testing tools;

  • Support the start-up of PCB boards under development;

  • Perform soldering and assembly of electronic components during prototype development;

  • Commission and test product prototypes;

  • Carry out various system tests, including electrical, software, and environmental;

  • Support certification tests for electromagnetic compatibility (CE);

  • Document products, tests, and related procedures;

  • Support the transition of new products into production.

Requested skills

To be the person we’re looking for, you should:

  • Hold a college diploma in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field;

  • Have relevant work experience;

  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;

  • Have experience with data acquisition systems testing;

  • Have hands-on experience in electronic soldering (fine components);

  • Have experience working with PCBs;

  • Knowledge of fiber optics is considered an asset;

  • Be organized and versatile;

  • Be able to travel locally as part of your duties (Boucherville area);

  • Be fluent in French, and proficiency in English is an asset.
