Reporting to the IT department manager, the technical deployment technician works in deployment (RFC) or project mode. He is mandated to examine requests falling under his or her responsibility, and supervise their planning and implementation.
Your role more specifically:

Identify and analyze deployment solutions for the demands of operations or administrative offices;

Propose recommendations suitable to business needs, architecture, existing applications and their impact on processes;

Play a role in estimating the time needed for deployments;
-
Produce planning and communication documentation and keeps them up to date;
-
Produce technical deployment recipes and keeps them up to date;
-
Execute deployments with Rona best practices in terms of planning, communication and quality
-
Be responsible for deployments quality and delivery dates;
-
Ensure respect for and conformance with support management office standards;
-
Ensure Hardware Tier-3 support, as needed and involve Tier-2 as needed for problem solving;

Keeping up to date with new technologies
Your profile:
-
University degree or College diploma in information technology or equivalent;
-
5 years’ experience in Hardware, Networks, including 3 years working in complex projects

Experience in retailing and distribution;
-
Knowledge of Cisco network equipment, Motorola wireless infrastructure and peripherals, Toshiba/IBM Surepos Cash Registers, Citrix, HP Terminals and PC’s, Cisco and Nortel phone systems
