RONA is seeking a Director, Retail Pricing, who will lead the company’s overall retail pricing strategy and ensure the governance, performance, and evolution of the Retail Pricing function across the organization.
This role is responsible for defining the vision, decision frameworks, and strategic priorities for retail pricing to support sales growth, margin optimization, and price perception. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership, including Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Outside Sales Representative, Supply Chain, Analytics, and IT, to align retail pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
The Director will lead the Retail Pricing team, advance the analytical and technological maturity of the function, and implement best-in-class governance and transformation practices in retail pricing.
Your Role :
Retail Pricing Vision and Strategy

Define and lead the retail pricing strategy to ensure a clear and consistent competitive positioning across all categories, channels, and banners.

Establish decision frameworks that balance sales growth, profitability, and price perception.

Drive the evolution of retail pricing strategy based on market conditions, customer behavior, and business priorities.

Advise senior leadership on strategic issues related to retail pricing and competitiveness.
Governance and Decision Frameworks

Establish and maintain retail pricing governance, including policies, processes, roles, and responsibilities.

Implement approval frameworks and control mechanisms to ensure retail pricing consistency and discipline.

Ensure alignment between retail pricing strategies, assortment structure, and financial objectives.

Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Financial Performance and Competitiveness

Lead the strategic contribution of retail pricing to the company’s financial results.

Monitor and optimize competitiveness, price perception, and margin performance.

Drive strategic trade-offs related to retail pricing investments and competitiveness initiatives.

Oversee the implementation of performance measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate overall retail pricing effectiveness.
Data, Analytics and Transformation

Define the roadmap for retail pricing tools and data science capabilities.

Promote advanced use of data, automation, and analytical best practices to support retail pricing maintenance and decision-making.

Prioritize technology investments and transformation initiatives to increase retail pricing maturity.

Ensure the quality, availability, and effective use of retail pricing and competitive data.
Leadership and Organizational Development

Lead, engage, and develop the Retail Pricing team, including managers and analysts.

Establish a clear vision, foster a performance-driven culture, and support talent development.

Partner with leadership teams to represent the Retail Pricing function and support organizational priorities.

Promote cross-functional collaboration and adoption of retail pricing best practices across the organization.

The Qualifications we're looking for :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field (MBA or Master’s degree is an asset).

10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, analytics, finance, or merchandising, ideally in retail.

Proven experience leading teams and working with senior leadership.
-
Experience in omnichannel environments and organizational transformation.

Proficiency with analytical tools and data environments (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python or equivalent).

Retail industry experience is strongly preferred.

Strategic leadership and ability to influence senior executives.

Strong business acumen and understanding of retail financial drivers.

Advanced expertise in retail pricing strategy, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
