Our expectationsReporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, the Advisor, Communications will work with multiple business units to prepare engaging communications to mobilize stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and creating content for the various internal communication tools and will participate in the planning, development, and execution of internal and external communication strategies that support RONA inc.’s business objectives.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative person, who thrives on challenges and projects of all scopes, and who is able to manage different IT tools.
Your role
Manage and coordinate the distribution of communications via our internal (intranet, leader emails, weekly newsletter, etc.) and external (corporate website) communication tools
· Support internal clients in the development and execution of effective communication strategies that contribute to the organization’s business objectives, in order to position and implement key projects through targeted tactics and engaging content, both internally and externally
Create content for various internal and external communication tools, including public speaking opportunities, videos and large-scale corporate events throughout the year
· Promote and protect the reputation of RONA inc. and its banners
Contribute to the preparation of press kits (key messages, press releases, Q&A documents, company positioning, etc.)
Coordinate communications initiatives with external service providers
The qualifications we are looking for
University degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline
5 years of experience in corporate communications
Experience with the management of a corporate intranet, including SharePoint (an asset)
Ability to advise internal clients
Exceptional writing and editing skills, in both English and French
Strong business ethic (ethical duty of confidentiality) and good judgment
Ability to understand the client’s need and find solutions to meet them
Ability to dissect key messages and simplify information to reach both internal and external target audiences
Ability to manage priorities
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
· Thoroughness and attention to detail
· Ability to identify potential issues and risks, and to make recommendations to address them
Strong listening, collaboration, and teamwork skills
