The Bus and Trucks Machanic - Mississauga has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of coaches. Responsibilities may include trouble-shooting repair needs which are difficult to identify and independently completing repair projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine coach maintenance and inspections;
  • Works independently or in a team environment without supervision;
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with supervisors and customers regarding repairs;
  • Replacement of defective parts;
  • Do building & equipment maintenance, general housekeeping;
  • Do other duties as assigned;
  • Complete paper work on a daily basis.

Requested skills

Education and experience:

  • Qualified mechanical experience;
  • Be go to person in areas of expertise (Electrical, HVAC, Slide Out, Pneumatics & Body Repair);
  • Assists customers over the phone with technical issues and/or questions;
  • Red Seal certification or License Technician is needed;
  • Class B commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement; (a good +);
  • EPA certification for the handling of refrigerant; (a good +).

 

Key competencies:

  • Proficient with electronic media (Technical Prints, Cat Base, Bulletins & Recalls, SAP);
  • Proactively acquires and expands knowledge of the latest technology and systems in the industry;
  • Ability to look up parts efficiently;
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
