About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.
Your impact
You’ll lead the support and optimisation of critical mining technology systems, helping keep operations safe, productive, and running with minimal disruption. Your leadership ensures technology delivers real value at site level. This is an on-site positon requiring the successful candidate to work two weeks on, two weeks off.
As part of our team you will
• Lead and support in-cabin mining technologies such as fleet management, fatigue monitoring, and collision detection
• Monitor and optimise IT/OT and communications systems to minimise downtime
• Plan and support technology projects aligned to site priorities
• Drive preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned outages
• Mentor and support team members to build capability and performance
• Manage vendors and contractors to ensure service standards are met
Prerequisites for your success in this role
• Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience supporting operational technology or complex technical systems
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and support a technical team
• Comfortable working with vendors, projects, and site stakeholders
Your work environment
This is a site-based, hands-on leadership role supporting mining operations. You’ll work closely with operations, IT, and external partners in a fast-paced environment where safety, reliability, and collaboration are critical.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$105,800 - 141,100 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
