Your Impact

As a Condition Monitoring Technician, you will play a critical role in Newmont’s predictive maintenance strategy by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the health of essential process plant and fleet equipment. Your work directly supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations, ensuring equipment issues are identified early and resolved before they impact production.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

• Champion a strong safety culture by following Newmont’s safety and environmental standards.
• Own and continually improve vibration, thermography, and oil‑analysis programs in alignment with Newmont and industry best practices.
• Perform field data collection for vibration and thermography routes; analyze data and produce reports and work orders based on findings.
• Enter and manage notifications in SAP related to used‑oil analysis, vibration results, and other condition‑monitoring technologies.
• Ensure all reported equipment conditions are acted on promptly and documented in SAP.
• Implement condition‑monitoring technologies and leverage data analytics for early detection of equipment failure.
• Build and maintain asset component data within vibration‑analysis software, including baseline measurements and route optimization.
• Assist with troubleshooting critical assets and recommend fact‑based actions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with reliability, planning, and execution teams to maximize equipment availability through optimized maintenance strategies.
• Support Lubrication Technicians as needed.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
Education & Knowledge

• Red Seal or Journeyperson trade certification, engineering technologist, or related qualification.
• Strong understanding of predictive maintenance and condition‑monitoring techniques.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, maintenance practices, and fault analysis.

Technical Skills

• Vibration Analyst Level II or III certification (VCAT II or higher).
• Level II Machine Lubricant Analyst and Machinery Lubrication Technician certification.
• Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated technical problem‑solving ability.
• Working knowledge of SAP PM (asset).
• Experience with grinding equipment (SAG/Ball Mills) and crushing systems (asset).

Your Work Environment

You will work within the Operations team, supporting Asset Management and collaborating closely with maintenance, reliability, planning, and execution groups. This role is field‑based at Red Chris Mine, operating on a 15x13 rotation (two weeks on, two weeks off). The position requires regular in‑field data collection, equipment monitoring, and ongoing engagement with cross‑functional teams to maintain a safe, reliable, and high‑performing operation.

Compensation

Base Salary: $81,100 - $101,400, commensurate with skills and experience.
Short‑Term Incentive Plan (STIP): Eligible for 10% annual bonus.
