Newmont North America operations are located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.

Shape how our Newmont is viewed externally within Canada by executing communication strategies that align with Newmont’s mission. From media relations to stakeholder engagement, your work will influence public perception and support our sustainability goals.
- Lead and execute external regional communication plans
- Build and manage media relationships and secure regional coverage
- Support issues management and public perception strategies
- Collaborate with global teams for message alignment
- Develop copy, event messaging, and regional content
- Deliver communication training and support to local teams
- Coordinate community programs and public relations events
- Manage social media, ensuring regular and well-crafted content that tells our story and inspires
- Manage the planning and execution of strategic communication campaign
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, political science, journalism or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in communications or media relations
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Confident managing media and stakeholder relationships
- Team player with strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
- Experience planning and executing strategic communication campaigns
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments
- Experience editing photo and video content is an asset
- Experience in government or government relations is an asset
- Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $110,900 - $147,900/year with an additional 25% Short term incentive target.. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
