As a Planner, Shutdown, you’ll play a key role in ensuring planned shutdowns run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. By coordinating people, equipment, and timelines, you’ll help minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed plans schedules that align with maintenance and production goals.
• Collaborate across departments to plan resources, materials, and contractor support.
• Monitor progress and proactively adjust plans to address challenges.
• Ensure all shutdown activities meet Newmont’s safety and environmental standards.
• Contribute to post-shutdown reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong coordination, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in maintenance or operations within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated experience working with contractors and vendors.
• Proficiency in SAP is a essential.
• Skilled at collaborating across teams and communicating clearly.
• A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This role is being offered remotely or based at the Vancouver Regional Office, with occasional site visits as required to both our Red Chris and Brucejack operations in Northwest British Columbia. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where proactive planning and teamwork ensure shutdowns are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The Newmont team is now recruiting for the position of Planner, Shutdown, with a competitive base salary between $85,400 - $113,900 / year, with an additional Short Term Incentive Program bonus of 15%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
