About Red Chris
Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris currently operates as an open-pit copper and gold mine with a promising future to transition to a high-value underground block cave operation. As an Assistant Admin, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative operations and communications across departments at Red Chris. Your work will directly support timekeeping, procurement, reporting, and risk management processes that enable safe and efficient daily operations across the Red Chris site.
- Support the preparation of daily operation
- Maintaining a shared email with all Admins
- Liaise with the admin team to ensure timely communication of operational updates, incorporating communication between the admin department
- Manage personnel rosters and travel changes for all personnel using Workflow/SAMS, Amex and Melon
- Complete timekeeping activities for payroll for all departments
- Order supplies on an as needed basis
- Complete documents and reports as required by the supervisor
- Submit SAP purchase orders, stock inventory demands and work notifications to support the operation; SES, PO, and PR creation is required for this role
- Monitor progress of ongoing projects and provide any deviations to the supervisor
- Administer relevant risks, apply mitigation measures, and continuously assess for risks
- All other duties as assigned
- Office / Business Administration Certificate preferred
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a site-based or operations environment
- Solid understanding of operational procedures, production reporting, safety standards, contract management, and timekeeping
- Experience working with union time and payroll processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Adobe, and Sharepoint
- Strong SAP skills, including PO creation, PR Creation and SES
- Ability to review contractor timesheets for accuracy against scope
- High attention to detail and accuracy in timekeeping and data entry
- Ability to coordinate multiple requests and adapt in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

The expected salary range for this role is CA$71,000-88,740 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
