Your impact
You will support critical exploration and project planning by ensuring geoscience data is accurate, accessible, and reliable. Your work enables informed technical decisions across geoscience and project teams.
As part of our team you will
• Manage and maintain geoscience databases (acQuire/SQL)
• Perform data extraction, validation, and quality checks
• Configure and monitor automated data imports and exports
• Support reporting, workflows, and data visualization needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data insights
Prerequisites for your success in this role
• Post-secondary qualification in Geoscience, Geology, Earth Sciences, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (asset)
• Demonstrated experience working with structured databases, preferably in a technical, scientific, or operational environment
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and extracting data
• Experience performing data quality checks, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and maintaining data integrity
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data handling tools (CSV, MDB or similar formats)
• Ability to interpret technical or scientific datasets and follow defined data standards and workflows
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support internal users and stakeholders
• Experience with geoscience data platforms such as acQuire is an asset but not required
Your work environment
This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to site locations, including international sites as required. This is a technical, individual contributor role within a collaborative geoscience and data management environment. You will work closely with geoscientists, technical teams, and project stakeholders, supporting exploration and operational outcomes through high-quality data practices.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ $83,400 - 111,180 / year + 15% STIP bonus. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
