A career as a Senior Director, Product Management and Innovation at National Bank Trust means acting as a leader of a new Canadian team, responsible for defining the overall vision and product strategy to support the sector’s growth and competitiveness.
You are responsible for establishing a strong product management structure and maximizing the P&L of National Bank Trust products, through product innovation aligned with client needs, pricing optimization, costs, partnerships, and distribution channels. You also work closely with sales leaders as well as delivery and technology evolution teams that support the product strategy. You will stand out through your curiosity, proactive mindset, and strategic thinking.
This role operates in a pan-Canadian context and includes occasional travel to Vancouver and Toronto.
• Define the Product team vision and strategic roadmap in alignment with the sector’s strategy
• Establish a structured framework, including tools and clear governance, to ensure consistent, efficient, and sustainable product management
• Oversee the full product lifecycle-from design and development to launch and optimization-and lead product evolution in collaboration with business analysts and product owners
• Analyze market trends, client needs, and data to inform decisions, while ensuring product profitability and regulatory compliance
• Represent the Product function with the executive committee and external stakeholders
• Define and oversee go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales teams
• Develop strategic partnerships to expand product reach and distribution
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure process alignment with the targeted client experience
Within the National Bank Trust sector, you are part of a large team of more than 150 colleagues across the country and report to the Chief, Strategy, Risk and Growth. Our team stands out for its agility, energy, and personalized approach to serving our clients.
In this role, you lead a team of six senior professionals, recognized for their expertise and strategic contributions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in product management, including profitability, pricing, and value creation
• Deep expertise in product lifecycle management and related methodologies
• Significant experience leading teams in complex environments
• Ability to design and implement structured operating frameworks
• Knowledge of the institutional market and custody services, considered an asset
