Description
A career as a Senior Advisor - Operational Compliance in the Operations investments team at National Bank means acting as a regulatory expert. This position allows you to use your expertise to influence the compliance culture and propose solutions to continuously improve our practises and ensure that regulatory requirements are implemented while contributing to the transformation of our organisation.
Your job
- Ensure compliance policies are applied in the sectors supported via projects, reviews or specific cases
- Answer regulatory questions from supported teams and formulate decisions for specific cases
- Contribute to and/or take charge of the delivery of business initiatives
- Determine business needs, manage impacts on operations and recommend the most optimal solutions
- Manage priorities and ensure profitability of improvements/solutions delivered based on business value
- Question current business rules and methods
- Manage stakeholders and work to converge different interests
- Proactively communicate results, issues and risks to management in a summary manner
- Practice sound risk management on a daily basis
- Demonstrate a high level of influence with partners in determining solutions

You are part of a team of 10 colleagues and reports to the Senior Manager - Compliance and Operational quality, Operations investments.

Prerequisites
- A completed bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience or a completed master's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of investment products and operational processes in securities
- Good knowledge of compliance standards related to wealth management
- Solid knowledge of the proceeds of crime (money Laundering) and terrorist financing Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of registered plans
- knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
