Description
The Wealth management, Credit Risk Management team is currently seeking the services of a Risk Manager. The mission of this sector is to protect the firm's capital and minimize the business risk related to client transactions while ensuring compliance with credit policy, rules relating to transaction settlements and the situation that will prevail in the various markets.
As a Manager, you will be responsible to manage the resources of the area to mitigate the risks to the firms (NBF, NBIN, NBDB and WM1859) from counter-party risk, security exposure risk (financial & non-financial) in client accounts and provide service and support.
Your role:
- Manage a team of professional to mitigate counterparty and exposure risk
- Develop/manage/coach resources to accomplish departmental objectives.
- Supervise and train employees.
- Ensure all processes & procedures are managed efficiently to mitigate counterparty and exposure risk.
- Review and co-ordinate monthly reporting. This includes providing support for all financial, internal and Regulatory audits.
- Provide reporting to senior management as well as any other information/reporting that enhances communication of credit or risk related issues for information or to be used when taking a decision.
- Communicate with different business lines to resolve client account situations as they occur.
- Implement new operational strategies and tools to maximize the efficiency of the sector and to reduce financial risk
- Provide regular reporting to senior management concerning concentration and exposure.
- Approve funds out and/or exception requests for significant amounts following the analysis of the client's portfolio.

Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and one year of relevant experience OR University Certificate 1st cycle and three years of relevant experience
- Have completed the following courses: CSC, Introduction to Derivatives and Options Trading and Code of Conduct
- Have a license to trade, including options
- Master the CIRO series 5000
- Familiar with the strategies and risk related to derivatives strategies, more specifically publicly traded options strategies
- Excellent knowledge of financial products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Access
- Able to work under pressure and negotiation skills
- Be able to offer excellent customer service
