The Head of Cash Management Products is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and management of the bank’s cash management product suite for commercial clients across Canada. This role leads product innovation, commercialization, and lifecycle management to drive revenue growth, enhance client experience, and ensure regulatory compliance. The incumbent works closely with Sales, Payments, Cards, Technology, Operations, and Risk teams to deliver best-in-class treasury and cash management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute a global cash management product strategy aligned with the bank’s commercial banking objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, development, pricing, enhancement, and decommissioning.
  • Identify market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning to inform product roadmap.

2. Product Development & Innovation

  • Oversee the design and launch of cash management and deposit solutions (e.g., deposit solutions, receivables, liquidity management, reporting), and partner closely with Payments and Credit Cards to deliver integrated payables solutions.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including API-based solutions and embedded banking capabilities.

3. Revenue Growth & Performance Management

  • Own product P&L, including revenue targets, cost management, and profitability metrics.
  • Develop pricing strategies and optimize fee structures.
  • Partner with business development and sales teams to increase product penetration and client adoption.

4. Client Experience & Market Engagement

  • Champion a client-centric approach to product design and delivery.
  • Engage directly with clients to gather insights and validate solutions.
  • Represent the bank at industry forums and maintain awareness of evolving client expectations.

5. Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all products comply with Canadian regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI guidelines, Payments Canada rules, AML obligations).
  • Partner with risk, legal, and compliance teams to manage operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Maintain robust product governance frameworks and controls.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with commercial banking, corporate banking, treasury, digital, payments, cards, operations, technology, finance, and risk teams.
  • Support relationship and treasury managers with product expertise and client solutions.
  • Influence senior leadership and contribute to broader commercial banking strategy.

7. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor team members and build succession pipelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, cash management, treasury services, or transaction banking within a financial institution or fintech.
  • Proven leadership experience managing product teams and complex portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payments landscape (e.g., EFT, wires, RTR) and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive digital innovation and large-scale product initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
