A career as a Director, Custody Operations within the National Bank Trust team means taking on a leadership role in a growing and evolving environment at the heart of institutional investment operations. This position will allow you to make a real impact on performance, productivity, and service quality through your expertise in team management, process optimization, and asset custody operations.
Your role
• Lead and engage a team of professionals and technicians responsible for operational activities related to asset custody and relationships with portfolio managers.
• Oversee team performance, development, and succession planning through personalized coaching and mentoring.
• Review and enhance operational processes to increase productivity, service quality, and the digitalization of activities.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to strengthen relationships and optimize the client experience.
• Coordinate the resolution of operational challenges in partnership with IT, Operations, and Lines of Business teams.

Within the National Bank Trust sector, you’ll be part of a large team of more than 150 colleagues across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver). You’ll report to the Senior Director, Operations and play an active role in modernizing our practices. Prerequisites
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7 to 10 years of experience in operations management or the securities industry.
• Proven experience leading teams and supporting change in a transformation context.
• Strong knowledge of asset custody, portfolio management, and transaction settlement activities.
• Solid understanding of SWIFT and SSCNET systems (knowledge of Global+ is an asset).
•Knowledge of the life cycle of investment products (FX, Reorg, CASH MANAGEMENT, MONETARY RECONCILIATION) (an asset)
• Ability to quickly assess complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and manage priorities with rigor.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-evolving environment.
