Description
The incumbent performs various mechanical tasks related to the maintenance and repair of ski lifts during the summer season and conducts daily inspections before opening to ensure efficient and safe operation, in addition to ensuring that vehicles are kept in good condition.
This is a full-time position. The schedule may vary and may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the authority of the Operations Manager, the Vehicle and Lift Mechanic is responsible for the following tasks:
• Conduct daily checks during the season and perform necessary repairs outside of operating hours;
• Maintain lifts during the summer season in collaboration with the Lift Manager;
• Perform line work at height;
• Check the components of each lift daily and visually inspect critical parts every day before opening to customers and fill out the log governed by standard Z-98 on ski lift maintenance;
• Perform emergency operations when a lift stops and evacuate customers using an auxiliary motor, if necessary;
• Detect suspicious noises, determine their cause, and make the necessary adjustments and repairs.
• Make a proper assessment to carry out the work quickly, efficiently, and safely.
• Inspect and repair all rolling stock and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Report any defects within their area of resonsability to their supervisor.
