Come join the MAPEI company as a Maintenance Mechanic

On the night shift, does the repair and maintenance of the plant's equipment.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Answers service calls;
  • Prioritizes tasks and repairs via Work Orders from Infor;
  • Maintain and repair mixers, conveyors, and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems (bearings, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics)
  • Assist with electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, VFDs)
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
  • Knows how to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problems and finds solutions to solve and repair them;
  • Knows the operation of electro-mechanical components;
  • Takes charge of one or many projects and completes them with minimum supervision;
  • Contributes to the improvement of the plant's equipment functioning;
  • Works unsupervised on night shift
  • Sees to the department’s good housekeeping practices and maintains his work areas in good condition;
  • Computer literacy to work with CMMS;
  • Organizes and maintains stock of spare parts and maintains record for inventory control;
  • Any other related task.

Requested skills

    • Registered Millwright Apprentice (any level)
    • Must be available and reliable for graveyard / overnight shifts, including weekends as needed
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial machinery
    • Practical knowledge of rotating equipment (bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, chain and belt drives)
    • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, starters, sensors, VFDs, limit switches)
    • Working exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, including fault recognition and basic troubleshooting
    • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
    • Comfortable working in powder-processing environments and performing physically demanding tasks
    • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety standards
    • Able to work independently during night shifts while maintaining clear communication with operations
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
