Description
Manulife John Hancock is passionate about bettering outcomes for our plan participants across Canada and the US. This role will own the process optimization for access to data by the Global Participant Outcomes (GPO) teams while ensuring streamlined reporting for the teams’ external partners. The successful candidate will have experience in streamlining data access and reporting needs for teams with an external customer focus.
Your task is to improve the GPO team's efficiency in accessing data and reporting, while simultaneously improving the quality of the reporting and data deliverables. Success in this position will be measured by your ability to achieve these goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Decrease the amount of time taken by the Participant Outcomes teams to generate and access reporting.
Find quick wins to automate or streamline the data extraction and reporting process for GPO team members.
Increase the quality of outbound campaign data so fewer issues are experienced year over year by the GPO team from an email communications perspective.
Increase accessibility of data for the non-email communication channels by working with marketing, product and global partners to use existing technologies.
Coordinate standardization of testing, validation, acceptance, and monitoring processes for greater user confidence in the data and reporting sources.
Engage with partners and the leadership to align priorities and outcomes in an agile and iterative approach to continuous delivery.
Change the way the Participant Outcomes team provides data and insights to clients
Leverage customer data for “new” targeted communications and outcomes for plan sponsors on their participant engagement in the group plan with reporting that defines the outcomes.
Execute data gathering and cleansing to ensure accuracy and reliability of new data points.
Develop charts/graphs and dashboards to present data insights to partners through compelling narratives supported by visualizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the financial industry, financial health, specifically within the Retirement business an asset.
Proficient in Data Manipulation, Data Analysis, Data Warehousing, Data Mining & Extraction and Data Visualization.
Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, R, Spark, and Excel for data querying, manipulation and analysis
Ability to interpret and translate terminology between technical and business users
Self-sufficient and self-motivated
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics related courses
And 3+ years in one or more of the following; BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Visualization, reporting specialist.
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between
$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
