Investment Product Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Product Analyst to support the management, and enhancement of our mutual fund, ETF, and SMA product lineup. This role involves working closely with product managers and cross-functional teams including portfolio management, distribution, marketing, and compliance to ensure our products remain competitive and aligned with client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Management

    • Support a team of Product Managers by providing data-driven insights to help position our investments products in the field

    • Conduct market research to analyze trends and identify product gaps and opportunities

    • Provide Product Managers with detailed competitive analysis at the fund level

    • Support platform management activities including fund rationalization and/or enhancement efforts

  • Analytics & Reporting

    • Analyze fund performance, flows, and peer group comparisons

    • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to be utilized by key stakeholders

    • Support pricing and fee analysis for existing products

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Liaise with legal, compliance, and operations to ensure product documentation and processes are accurate and up to date.

    • Partner with marketing to act as subject matter expert in the development and review of collateral and presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; CFA and/or CAIA designation or progress toward it is an asset

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in investment product management and/or development

  • Familiarity with mutual fund and ETF structures, including investment strategies across multiple asset classes

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data platforms such as Morningstar Direct, FactSet, or Bloomberg

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools

  • Knowledge of Canadian investment fund regulations

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
