Join our Engineering Transformation Office and help redefine how we enable learning and development across Manulife’s global technology teams!
We are building a culture of continuous learning and collaboration; we need a passionate, technically-minded individual to help scale our Content Library program that empowers best-practice across the organization.
As a Content Development Specialist, you will work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager, engineers and subject matter experts across business units, and the core Manulife University team to ensure high-quality, engaging, and impactful technical content is crafted, maintained, and continuously improved. You’ll support the full content lifecycle-from conceptualization to post-publication success metrics-while fostering a strong community of practice around knowledge sharing.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop engaging, high-quality technical learning experiences using approved tools (PowerPoint, Articulate360 suite, Synthesia, Edcast suite, Clipchamp, MS Forms)
Simplify complex technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly formats.
Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with Manulife University standards.
Coach and support content creators on instructional design, storytelling, and tool usage.
Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to align learning strategies with business goals.
Review and validate content for technical accuracy and platform compatibility.
Facilitate seamless collaboration between content creators and platform teams.
Manage post-publication activities including feedback, content freshness, and performance metrics.
Continuously improve content frameworks and user experience.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
Required Qualifications:
2-5 years related engineering or software delivery experience with expectation that you are a hands-on practitioner.
Previous experience in technical content creation is required with a passion for learning, teaching, and helping others grow.
Experience with Synthesia, Confluence and Articulate is a strong asset.
Strong storytelling, instructional design, or technical writing skills.
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to broad range of users (with or without a technical background).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developer advocacy, technical education, or enablement roles.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
Data-driven approach with the ability to track and report on content performance metrics.

Salary range is expected to be between
$60,900.00 CAD - $113,100.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
