Your mission will be to develop talent attraction strategies to recruit the best candidates, and ensure they grow and thrive with Le Groupe JLD-Laguë John Deere, which includes the TransDiff Peterbilt, Genytech, and Fardiers Québec divisions. You will also be responsible for developing workforce planning programs, onboarding and succession planning initiatives, as well as interview templates and other tools to support our managers in the staffing process. In addition, you will help design training programs to strengthen our teams’ capabilities in attracting top talent. 

 

In collaboration with the VP, Human Resources, you will lead various HR policies, programs, and initiatives, while maintaining a people-centered and results-oriented approach.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

  • Create, optimize, and refine talent attraction initiatives, including: 

    • Development and execution of the annual talent attraction strategy; 

    • Establishment of best practices and processes for recruitment, onboarding, and integration; 

    • Development of tools and frameworks (interview templates, competency matrices, KPIs to measure hiring performance, and other related data); 

    • Design and implementation of workforce planning, onboarding, and succession planning programs; 

  • Oversee the Talent Attraction team on a daily basis to ensure alignment with overall HR strategies; 

  • Ensure consistent application and compliance with internal HR programs to maintain uniformity and coherence in our practices; 

  • Build and maintain strong, trusting partnerships with managers to identify needs, diagnose challenges, and recommend HR strategies aligned with their objectives and priorities; 

  • Advise and support branch and corporate directors on hiring and retention strategies; 

  • Collaborate closely with the VP, Human Resources on key organizational development projects. 



 QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR:  

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; 

  • University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or any other relevant field; 

  • Fluency in both spoken and written French and English (mandatory); 

  • CHRP or CIRP designation; 

  • Experience working in a multi-site organization is an asset; 

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; 

  • Initiative, creativity, and the ability to manage projects from A to Z, while effectively handling multiple priorities; 

  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently as needed; 

  • Frequent travel to branch locations required (Quebec and Ontario); 

  • Work location may be based on either the South Shore or North Shore of Montreal; 

  • Remote work offered.
