Research, Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Assist in gathering information on existing and emerging Indigenous justice and reintegration practices.
  • Document promising practices, lessons learned, and community insights in culturally appropriate ways.
  • Support the preparation of reports, briefing notes, presentations, and funding-related documentation.

Collaboration & Systems Navigation

  • Liaise with justice, corrections, health, and social service partners while maintaining a strong Indigenous-centered approach.
  • Coordinate with internal Waseskun staff to ensure project activities align with operational realities and healing practices.
  • Support dialogue between communities and government or institutional partners, as appropriate.

Cultural Integrity & Ethical Practice

  • Uphold Waseskun’s healing-centred, land-based, and trauma-informed approach in all aspects of the work.
  • Respect community protocols, confidentiality, and data sovereignty principles.
  • Approach all work with humility, accountability, and a commitment to reconciliation and self-determination.
