  • Adapting to Disruption: Finance functions must respond swiftly to disruption, prioritizing the delivery of insights and analytics.
  • Tool and Skill Enhancement: Finance teams should equip themselves with tools and skills to address critical business questions efficiently, spending less time on traditional record-keeping and focusing more on their strategic partnership role with the business.
  • EPM as a Backbone: An integrated EPM solution serves as the foundation for organizations aiming to enhance overall performance and improving their bottom line.

Opportunities Within the EPM Practice: KPMG is seeking experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds in financial accounting and consolidation, FP&A, or specialized in EPM solutions like Anaplan, OneStream, Workday Adaptive, or Oracle to join the EPM team in Canada.


What you will do

  • Project Leadership: Participate in scoping, and implementation projects related to EPM transformation.
  • Client Workshops: Conduct workshops to gather and analyze business requirements and map them to EPM solution capabilities.
  • Model Design and Integration: Plan, design, configure, and test models and integrations to meet client specifications.
  • Report Development: Create analytical dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge Development: Assist in documenting processes and train clients effectively.
  • Strategic Leadership: Offer guidance to client stakeholders, establishing yourself as an EPM subject matter expert.
  • Business Development: Support proposals, product demos, and internal/external marketing activities.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning concerning the latest EPM solutions, including AI advancements and integrated business planning.
  • Networking: Foster relationships within KPMG's advisory practices and with EPM solution partners.

What you bring to the role

  • A bachelor’s degree in fields like Business, Finance, Accounting, or IT. Advanced degrees or a CPA credential are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Business professionals must have a minimum of 3 years in financial consolidation, FP&A, or in an EPM super-user role

Or

    • Minimum 2 years of EPM implementation experience.
    • Technical professionals must have 3 years of relevant experience implementing or managing IT systems and knowledge of data management and programming/scripting languages (SQL, VB.Net, Groovy, C#...).
  • Client Interaction: Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles across diverse industries is ideal.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with an aptitude for defining and addressing client issues through creative solutions.
  • Collaboration and quality: Capacity to work as a team and with clients as well as independently on deliverables in a quality-driven environment focused on results.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in using tools like PowerPoint for proposals and presentations.
  • Transformation Initiatives: Experience in finance transformation initiatives is an asset.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within Canada and the US as required.
