In a context of accelerated growth, we are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to manage and develop key relationships with major Canadian utilities. You will play a central role in the company’s expansion in Canada. Your mission: to build strong partnerships, understand clients’ technical challenges, and position high-reliability solutions in the field of electrical equipment. You will be the primary point of contact for strategic clients such as Hydro-Québec, Toronto Hydro, Ottawa Hydro, as well as several emerging utilities in the Maritimes and Ontario.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering: a major asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, technical sales, or business development.
  • Solid understanding of industrial, manufacturing, or electrical environments.
  • Proven experience in long sales cycles with major clients.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, production, quality, and purchasing teams to align solutions with the plant’s technical capabilities.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and build lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and bilingualism (French-English).

Terms and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 to $120,000
  • Performance Bonus: 15%
  • Territory: Canadian markets (Quebec, Ontario, Maritimes)
  • Travel to clients 20% of the time
  • Allowance: $0.74/km + travel expenses
  • Benefits: Day 1
  • RRSP: After 6 months

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Development and Account Management
  • Ensure the complete management of major accounts and develop long-term relationships.
  • Identify new growth opportunities within the Canadian market.
  • Develop structured account plans and sales forecasts based on reliable data.
  • Present performance analyses and strategic plans to internal teams and management.
Technical and Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and operations teams to deliver solutions tailored to complex customer needs.
  • Participate regularly in plant visits at the Granby facility (approximately once every two weeks).
  • Support customers in understanding the technical aspects of the products (including transformers).
Negotiation and Customer Satisfaction
  • Negotiate commercial agreements while adhering to corporate standards.
  • Ensure the effective resolution of issues and escalations.
  • Represent the company as a trusted partner to key decision-makers.
