Are you an experienced inspector looking to work in a structured, safe industrial environment recognized for its technical expertise? Our client, Velan, is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector (evening shift) to ensure the accuracy, conformity, and reliability of its critical products.

Desired Profile
  • High school diploma (DES) required, or vocational diploma (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in mechanical manufacturing or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, and 1 year of experience with CMM and/or robotic arm measuring machines (BMT) (an asset)
  • Excellent understanding of technical drawings and engineering documents
  • Proficiency with manufacturing measuring instruments
  • Comfortable writing reports and quality records
  • Very good understanding of technical French and English
  • Knowledge of shop floor mathematics (including trigonometry)
  • Theoretical and/or practical testing may be required

Your Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and complete valves (dimensional, visual, and functional)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality procedures
  • Use various measuring instruments: micrometers, comparators, gauges, CMMs, bidirectional measuring arms (BMTs), etc.
  • Document results, write reports, and ensure traceability
  • Identify non-conformities and collaborate with production
