We are currently partnering with a major industrial organization in the search for an Electrical Supervisor for a site recognized for the quality of its facilities and the discipline of its operations. In a context focused on stabilization and operational structure, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to have a direct impact on operational performance and reliability.

Your Role

Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will lead a strategic area that is central to the facility’s operations. You will serve as the hands-on leader of the Electrical Department with a clear mandate: ensure flawless day-to-day execution while building sustainable practices and processes for the future.

This position is part of an environment where strong, credible, and engaging leadership is expected to strengthen the department’s foundations and support long-term success.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical training in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation and Control, or equivalent experience.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in unionized environments and continuous-operation facilities (24/7).
  • Background in demanding industrial sectors such as mining, metallurgy, pulp and paper, or similar industries.
  • Credible, hands-on leader capable of motivating teams and fostering commitment.
  • Balanced, respectful, and people-oriented management approach suited to diverse workforces.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment and respond effectively during critical situations.
  • Strong execution discipline with a focus on results and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to structure, organize, and improve practices in a changing environment.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and proactive.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 – $130,000
  • Annual Bonus: 15% of base salary

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring that safe work practices are consistently followed and integrated into all activities and interventions.
  • Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 electricians, supporting employee engagement, development, and work quality.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work based on operational urgencies and production requirements within a continuous 24/7 operation.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure timely and effective interventions to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor departmental performance indicators (reliability, availability, and costs) and take prompt corrective action when needed.
  • Ensure the proper operation of electrical equipment, instrumentation systems, and control systems.
  • Analyze equipment failures and recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
  • Develop and improve departmental practices, including procedures, planning processes, documentation, and work standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams and participate in continuous improvement and modernization projects.
