This new Business Development Director position is designed to support sales teams in winning major projects, improving their closing rates, and strengthening customer loyalty. You will be a strategic player, capable of proposing comprehensive solutions (multi-product, service, partnership) and negotiating at a high level with decision-makers.

Your profile and required qualities:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of the regional electrical and contractor network.
  • Proven experience in business development and closing complex projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a strategic environment and negotiate with high-level stakeholders.
  • Organized, rigorous, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of partnership.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of related fields: electronic security, fire alarms, lighting.

Requested skills

Working with the management team, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Assisting sales representatives in developing large-scale projects, from prospecting to signing.
  • Identifying new opportunities in priority sectors and regions.
  • Negotiating advantageous terms with suppliers to maximize project value (complete packages tailored to specific client needs).
  • Working closely with estimating teams to identify private, often unpublished, opportunities.
  • Developing strong and lasting relationships with clients, electricians, and strategic partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and movements of manufacturers and manufacturers’ agents.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on transaction strategies and risk assessment.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline development, project progress, and sales results.

Commissions

Annual bonus of up to 25%.
