We are currently partnering with a well-established law firm located in downtown Vancouver to hire a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant for a 12-15 month maternity leave contract. About The Opportunity
This is a full-time, contract position (12-15 months) for a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant. The role provides exposure to strata litigation as well as other practice areas, including business litigation, estates, and family law. You will gain valuable experience across all three levels of court in BC while working closely with lawyers, clients, and the support team.

About The Position
As part of the Litigation team, you will provide high-level administrative and file support to assigned lawyers and the broader department. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth file management, timely court submissions, and excellent client service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting litigation matters across multiple practice areas (business, strata, wills & estates, family)
  • Assisting with files at the Provincial Court (BCPC), Supreme Court (BCSC), and Court of Appeal (BCCA)
  • Preparing, drafting, and reviewing correspondence and pleadings
  • Organizing chambers records, scheduling discoveries, mediations, and court dates
  • Managing calendars, BF systems, and email correspondence
  • Document management, billing support, and general administrative duties
  • Coordinating directly with clients and external parties as required

The Requirements

  • Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from a recognized Canadian institution
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting litigation, with direct experience managing a strata litigation desk

Compensation

  • Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
